Since Rhys Bonner’s death three years ago, the murder case has been explored. People want to know more about the problem. In July 2019, Rhys Bonner vanished from his house. His mother promptly filed a complaint, and the investigation was suspended just one day after he vanished.
His body was discovered in the wetlands between Easterhouse and Gartloch Village after two weeks of being gone. Within a day or two after the body being discovered, it was inspected. According to his death certificate, the cause of his passing was ‘unascertained.’ His mother, Stephanie Bonner, launched an investigation after being dissatisfied with the police department’s explanation, and it lasted for almost three years.

Two weeks after Bonner’s death, his body was discovered, but his mother wasn’t happy with the police inquiry. According to his mother, she conducted her inquiry and the police didn’t agree on anyone in her family. She pleaded the police to look into the situation before beginning her inquiry, filed roughly 26 complaints, and discovered that four of them were not taken seriously by the police.
The lack of proof, according to Stephanie, may be due to errors made by some Police officers or their involvement in the case; also, they failed to mention the location of the body. Stephanie stated, “I still don’t know where my son’s body was recovered,” as reported by Vizaca. It’s abhorrent. Every time I breathe, I long for him, and every morning I wake up and lose my son one more.
She works with PIRC and pursues justice for Rhys. After some time, the PIRC report claimed that he was abusing drugs of some kind; however, his family vehemently refuted this. Even three years after his passing, his mother still holds out hope; she is struggling, keeping her feelings to herself, and insisting that she must be resilient in order to care for Rhys’ siblings.
What Actions Took Donna Drummond?
The last person Rhys Bonner was seen with before going missing was Donna Drummond. Drummond was captured on camera in the provanhall on Balcurive Road. They were seen entering a general location where drinking and drug abuse occurred simultaneously. Drummond, the suspect, received no punishment; Rhys’s family mentioned that the police were acquainted with Drummond and had dealt with her.
She is the lone suspect identified in the investigation; no additional suspects have been identified as of yet. According to Bonner’s family, the police did not treat him well when they discovered his body because it had been carried far from the place where he had been.
The audience has been requesting the first minister’s assistance in obtaining explanations for complaints and the reasons why RHYS Bonner was not handled with respect, empathy, and compassion. The fact that the police were involved in the 19-year-old boy’s murder in 2019 is obvious, proving that the murderer is still at large.
Stephanie Bonner, the mother of Rhys Bonner, is unable to obtain closure
Once their children are lost, it can be difficult for parents to find peace. It goes without saying that losing a kid suddenly is devastating, and one can never get over it. Additionally, Stephaine Bonner’s circumstance is the same. We already know that her infant son vanished three years ago, and that he was discovered dead in a marshland between Easterhouse after going missing for two weeks.
The police eventually closed Rhys Bonner’s case, but his mother was compelled to learn what really caused her son’s death. She continues to do her inquiry despite the lack of any fresh evidence implicating her baby killer. In conclusion, Stephaine has not received closure and is still looking for the person who killed her son. Additionally, she once stated,
“I just want to have my concerns about how the police conducted themselves addressed and to know exactly what happened to my son.” Added she,
“I filed a complaint with the Pirc more than 2.5 years ago, and I have yet to hear anything. Why has it taken so long is something I’d like to know. I want to know how Police Scotland handled the death of Rhys and where exactly his nude body was discovered 15 days after going missing.
Because we don’t know the precise position, she added, “I can’t even go and lay flowers at the spot where he passed away. Not knowing what happened to my gorgeous kid is ripping me apart. No mother should experience this kind of suffering. Aside from that
“The individual at Pirc who is processing my complaint has taken an excessively long time to come to a decision. We are a grieving family, and this is ultimately just making things worse. I am unable to find any resolution.
Stephanie Bonner’s words amply demonstrate how distressed she is and suggest that she won’t find peace until and unless she apprehends her son’s killer and discovers the truth of the tragedy.
