Richard was just 41 years old when he passed away. As soon as it was announced that Laviolette had passed away, people began paying respect to him and sending words of sympathy to his grieving family.
The late singer’s amazing voice and songs are what fans and followers remember about him. Mudtown Records also honored Laviolette with the following statement:
We are praying for everyone who knew and loved Richard. And you are in large numbers.
He was one of the happiest and most joyous singer-songwriters we’ve ever seen live. Every concert seemed to be a celebration for the whole space.
There will reportedly be a public memorial ceremony for Laviolette in Guelph later this year. The family is in grief.
Huntington’s disease is linked to the death cause of Richard Laviolette
Huntington’s disease has been connected to Richard Laviolette’s cause of death.
His obituary states that while he requested MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying), he died quietly on September 5, 2023.
It has been reported that since May 2023, his health has been worse.
Just so you know, Huntington’s disease is a hereditary illness that causes the nerve cells, or neurons, in certain areas of the brain to progressively degenerate and die.
In addition, Laviolette had signs of Huntington’s disease this autumn, and in May 2023, his condition started to deteriorate quickly.
At the age of 41, Laviolette gently passed away after battling cancer.
Richard Laviolette’s Condition Prior to Death
Given that Richard Laviolette had been diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, his condition was unacceptable.
Richard began experiencing serious health problems at that time, and at the age of twelve, he developed ulcerative colitis.
At the age of seventeen, his ulcerative colitis almost took his life. He had a complete colectomy at that point, which saved his life.
A number of the drugs used for this procedure severely damaged the bone.
Richard received a hip replacement at the age of 28. Laviolette continued to pursue music because he enjoyed it and found it to be therapeutic, even with all of his health problems.

In the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, a tree will also be planted in Laviolette’s honor.
