The two got married in 1996 after Ramirez’s 1988 marriage proposal. After 13 years of marriage, Lioy ended her connection with the murderer.

She did so when DNA proof linking Ramirez to the 1984 rape and death of a nine-year-old kid was discovered in 2009.

However, it’s been said that after splitting with Lioy, he moved on to another relationship. Alongside 23-year-old author Christine Lee this time.

Lee said that she was engaged to Ramirez on The Geraldo Rivera Show. But if or when this ever happened needs to be clarified. She also refused to go into any further detail about their claimed relationship.
