Richard Joseph Carmichael is a retired American professional motocross racer. He was also involved in stock car racing. After retirement, he launched a career as an Internet star and digital media influencer.

In 2009, Ricky Carmichael was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. As a result, he withdrew from the U.S. Open of Supercross at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. According to the Brea-based factory Suzuki dirt bike official team, the racer’s career “came to a premature end.”
Carmichael has also withdrawn from the Bercy Supercross in Paris. In addition, his illness is described as a severe and difficult illness with continual tremendous tiredness. Furthermore, neither bed rest nor physical or mental activity helped the racer’s condition. Carmichael noted in a statement:
