He admitted to the magazine that he was hesitant to go on tour in 2021 despite taking two doses of the vaccine, saying: “It won’t be secure, in my opinion. The end of that. living in the present.”

In May, the tour finally resumed in Canada, and since then, Starr has performed at more than 25 concerts.

The musician achieved prominence in the 1960s as the laid-back, laconic drummer for the Beatles. He sang the lead vocals on songs like Yellow Submarine and With A Little Help From My Friends, and after the Beatles disbanded in 1970, he had a successful solo career.

In 1989, he established his All-Starr band, in which “everyone on stage is a star in their own right.” Legendary rock musicians including Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Todd Rundgren, and Sheila E have been a part of the lineup’s ever-changing cast.

Sir Ringo was given a knighthood in 2018 and inducted as a solo performer into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
