Grant Wahl, a well-known football journalist, is away after falling during a game in Qatar. He was 48 when born on December 2nd, 1974.
On December 9, 2022, as he was covering the Argentina vs. Netherlands World Cup quarterfinal game for ESPN, the event took place.
Eric Wahl, Grant’s brother, claims that he believes the Journalist’s death was not an accident.
On Friday, he posted an introduction to himself on Instagram, identifying himself as Grant Wahl’s brother and Eric Wahl from Seattle, Washington.
Eric went on to say that Grant’s rainbow shirt was worn at the World Cup as a result of his homosexuality. In the wake of the rainbow shirt incident, he said his brother was well and had received death threats.
Eric wrote, “I just beg for any help,” believing his brother had been murdered.
U.S. Soccer issued a statement on Twitter expressing its sorrow at Wahl’s passing and extended condolences to his family.
Grant may have experienced a heart attack, according to early reports, but the precise cause of death is yet unknown.
He recently revealed that he has bronchitis on his podcast, Football with Grant Wahl.

Celine Gounder, who married Wahl in 2001, was his wife. At Princeton University, where they first met, they fell in love and remained together for 25 years.
Celine is a physician with expertise in infectious illnesses and international health. She is also a journalist and lecturer.
