The Law Society tweeted early on November 12 that they were “deeply saddened to learn of Council member Richard Grogan’s passing.”
Richard was a dedicated advocate in court and in the public eye, the Society stated. “We will miss his energy, humor, and deep commitment to the profession,” they added.
In a statement confirming the news, Lawyers Against Homelessness said, “Remembering our esteemed and most kind colleague Richard Grogan who gave selflessly of his time, talent, and creativity to the homeless. Richard, please go in peace.
We do not yet know what caused his death; we do not know if he had cancer or another disease.
