Since 1989, Rob Reiner, an actor, and filmmaker who has won multiple awards has been married to Michele Singer, a former photographer, and actress.
After his divorce from actress/director Penny Marshall, he met Singer while filming the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally. According to The Guardian, he met her through a mutual acquaintance, the film’s director of photography Barry Sonnenfeld.

In the report, Reiner and other members of the publication’s team were also cited. When Harry Met Sally was out, the director stated that he was considering asking Michelle Pfeiffer out on a date.
During the interview, he recalled, “I’d met her [Pfeiffer] a few months earlier, and she seemed like a beautiful person, so I told Barry Sonnenfeld, ‘I’m going to give her a call’.”
However, Sonnenfeld encouraged him not to contact Pfeiffer and to instead marry Singer in the future. After viewing her on the set of When Harry Met Sally, he was persuaded despite his initial resistance.
Rob Reiner changed the film’s conclusion
When Reiner and Singer met, the film was three-quarters complete, and according to the original script, Harry and Sally “don’t get together” in the end. The actor disclosed to Couchsurfing’s Lola Ogunnaike [via People] that Harry and Sally’s wedding was not the original ending of the film.
“They meet after many years and then part ways,” he added. When asked what prompted him to rewrite the ending, which depicted the two characters together, he stated that meeting his wife altered his perspective.
He said.
“I met my wife while working on the film, and we altered the conclusion to come up with this,”
“Billy wrote some of this dialogue, and that’s how we decided to end the film, with them getting together,”
And the film went on to become one of the greatest romantic comedies ever made.
Rob Reiner’s spouse and offspring
Reiner and his wife Singer remain happily married in the present day. They had three children after thirty years of marriage. Jake and Nick were born in 1991, while Romy was born in 1997.
His daughter from his previous marriage to the actress Marshall, Tracy Reiner, was born in 1964. Additionally, they have all achieved success, with the majority following in their father’s footsteps.
The actor told Susan Wloszczyn of AARP in May 2015 that patience was the key to his long-lasting marriage. He stated that this allowed them to “become best friends” and that she taught him a great deal about life.
