Robert Chambers is an American criminal who, following the August 26, 1986, murder of 18-year-old Jennifer Levin in Central Park in New York City, gained notoriety as the Preppy Killer and the Central Park Strangler.
Additionally, he was originally accused of second-degree murder.
Later, during the subsequent inquiry, he altered his narrative and claimed that Levin’s death was an accident and that he had pushed her away because she had hurt him while sexually assaulting him.

Robert Chambers is indeed still incarcerated. He was nonetheless given a 15-year prison term, and according to the reports, he was released from Auburn Prison on February 14, 2003.
Robert Chambers entered a second guilty plea to narcotics sales in 2008 and received a 19-year sentence.
