Roger Golubski A Former Detective

Roger

Authorities in Kansas announced on Monday, November 14, that Roger Golubski, a 69-year-old former Kansas City detective, had been charged with drug trafficking.

According to Fox, Golubski was charged with conspiring to hold a woman hostage and using her for “involuntary sexual slavery” along with his friends LeMark Roberson, Richard Robinson, and alleged drug dealer Cecil Brooks.

The accusations are related to a purported criminal case that occurred in Kansas City in the late 1990s and early 2000s. NBC claims that Roger Golubski helped Brooks and his associates abuse female victims, one of whom was only 13 years old, by using his authority as a law enforcement officer.

More details on the allegations made by Roger Golubski

According to CNN, charges against Golubski were brought in 2016 following his alleged involvement in Lamonte McIntyre’s double homicide conviction, who had been imprisoned since he was 17 years old in 1993.

When a district attorney reviewed McIntyre’s case, he was released in 2017. The ex-convict sued numerous Kansas City police officers, including Golubski, after being released from prison, alleging corruption and wrongdoing.

McIntyre and his mother accused the latter of assault and pressuring McIntyre into making a confession related to the double murder conviction.

The complaint states that Golubski and other officers worked with drug dealer Cecil Brooks, who is said to have paid them for protection. In addition, the former investigator was charged with using young Black women for Brooks’ alleged human trafficking business and exploiting them.

The allegation is that Roger Golubski would pick out young black girls from troubled homes, lock them up in an apartment in Kansas City, and force them to have sex with males. According to CNN, Golubski received access to the young girls who had been forced into the trafficking network in addition to financial compensation for protecting Brooks.

Golubski used the assistance of suspects Richard “Bone” Robinson and LeMark Roberson to threaten or physically harm the anonymous victims when they refused to comply with his demands.

Investigators in Kansas City claim that one of the victims claimed that Golubski physically assaulted her when she was 16 by hitting her, yanking her hair, and slapping her. Team Roc, a social justice group supported by renowned singer Jay-Z, responded to the allegations by calling the accusations made against Golubski and other Kansas City police officers “heinous.”

Senator Cindy Holscher, a Democrat from Kansas, confirmed the arrest and noted that Golubski has a history of misconduct. Golubski has entered a “not guilty” plea to the charges brought against him.
