Rose Howell is still missing as of 2023. Has anyone located her?

Evidence presented at a coronial inquest conducted in 2012 under the supervision of the deputy state coroner, Magistrate P. A. MacMahon, revealed that the adolescent had been planning for her 19th birthday party and had hitched to Bellingen on the day of her disappearance.

Rose’s mother reported her missing two days after she missed an appointment, despite the fact that Rose frequently stayed with friends in Bellingen.

When she was abducted, Rose was described as being of Caucasian look, with an olive complexion, standing between 160 and 165 cm tall, sporting hazel eyes, and sporting short, black hair styled in a mohawk.

According to Magistrate MacMahon, Rose Howell was last seen in 2012 when William Robb noticed her going down Perrys Road in Repton. Robb was on his route to watch his daughter perform at a dance recital.

The magistrate concluded that Rose Howell had passed away based on the vast majority of the evidence, but she was unable to give any further information.

Many residents testified throughout the investigation, including a former classmate from Toormina High School who said she had seen Ms. Howell after April 11.

On Monday, May 5, 2003, Ms. Howell was seen twice in Coffs Harbour, and Shaylee Smith, who was in the same year as her, may have seen her a third time a few days later.

But Magistrate MacMahon was adamant that Ms. Smith had been misled.

Offering A Cash Bonus For Any Information That Helps Find Her

The mother of the teenager still holds out hope that her daughter may “reappear” more than 20 years after she vanished only a few days before becoming 19 years old.

The NSW Government and NSW Police Force are offering a $750,000 reward for information on Rose Howell, who vanished from the state’s northern region more than 20 years ago.

Rose Howell, who was 18 at the time, was last seen leaving her Bundagen home along Perry’s Road in Repton, which is situated about 25 kilometers south of Coffs Harbour, around 6.15 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2003.

Howell was accustomed to spending the night at friends’ homes and told her mother that she planned to meet up with pals in Bellingen.

Rose was supposed to meet her mother at 11 a.m. on April 13, 2003, but she never showed up. Rose was later listed as missing.

According to the findings of a coroner’s investigation in December 2012, Ms. Howell had really gone away, but the precise time, location, and specifics of her death were still unknown
