How did the show and its offshoots do at the 2021 Emmys?
The 2021 Emmy Awards for RuPaul made history. With 11 wins, the host surpassed the previous high for the number of Emmys won by a person of color. The well-liked reality show rose to the position of the most-awarded reality competition program at the Emmys.
RuPaul and renowned director of photography Donald A. Morgan tied for the most Emmy Awards for people of color in 2017. The host, whose full name is RuPaul Andre Charles, broke the record for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program for the sixth year in a row (the show had already broken the record at the 2020 Emmy Awards).
