Investigators are investigating the death of a man believed to be the stepfather of a Gold Coast councilor who was found inside a house on Chifley Place in Arundel.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, allegations of disturbances prompted police to go to the residence. The individual was found to be unresponsive when they arrived.
Following reports of a disturbance at the address—where a man’s death was subsequently discovered—police cruisers are positioned in front of an Arundel home.
Although CPR was administered to the guy, it was not enough to save his life. Property records show that Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden, a Gold Coast City councilor, lives there with his family.
The councilman was wearing a blue forensic suit when he and the cops left the residence. The man who passed away is said to have been the councilor’s stepfather. The people living in a tight-knit neighborhood were taken aback.
Found Dead at a Home in Arundel
The internet claims that a council member from the City of Gold Coast is assisting the police in their investigation into his stepfather’s death.
Police were called to a property on Chifley Pl. in Arundel just after 3 p.m. on Wednesday when there were reports of a brawl.
Emergency responders found Councilor Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden’s stepdad motionless, and despite paramedics’ best attempts, he was unable to be resuscitated.
There, the guy passed away, a QPS spokesman said. Reports state that Bayldon-Lumsden is now assisting the police in their investigation.
Cameras captured the councilman being led away by investigators. A crime scene has been proclaimed by the police, and they are now conducting investigations.
