A journalist named Ryan Leone passed away on Saturday, July 2, at the age of 36. Despite Ryan Leone’s reputation for being contentious due to his use of drugs in the past, he received a lot of support online.

His fiancée, Karina Franco, posted a notice of his passing on Facebook on Saturday. She wrote that she was “in a state of shock” in the message.
“I genuinely don’t know what to say. I can’t believe it anymore. But many of you require this knowledge. Ryan passed away late yesterday. My soul and emotions have been ripped from me. And I’m sorry for posting this. But I’m telling you about it like this. I cannot get in touch with anyone.
In a different piece, Franco also referenced the song My Sweet Lord by George Harrison. She explained in that communication that she couldn’t “carry on without” Leone and that she had done everything in her power to save him.
How did Ryan Leone fare?
On June 29, Ryan Leone posted on Facebook to mention that he has recently had a lot of medical visits. In his piece, the 36-year-old claimed to have received a pneumonia diagnosis at first. The writer was given the incorrect diagnosis of “respiratory and gastrointestinal problems.”
“I hurt my wrist,” you say. After that, I visited the hospital twice a week for no apparent cause. I was first diagnosed with influenza, they told me. I got a second viewpoint. Pneumonia wasn’t present.
This is a result of having lung and gastrointestinal problems, as well as being on an excessive amount of methadone (170 mgs!). My stomach swells to the point where it resembles a quickly expanding, inflated doughnut from Willy Wonka.
Ryan Leone was exposed to drugs when he was a young child. He then joined the infamous drug gang known as the Mendoza Clan, which landed him a five-year prison sentence.
He wrote his first novel while he was behind bars. After being let out of jail, he fought to achieve sobriety and began telling others about his experiences to help them learn. To show their sorrow over the passing of the author and advocate for prison reform, many people turned to social media. Others claimed that he was a “decent guy at heart” despite his prison term.

He started selling drugs and working on television at the same time when he was in his early 20s. At this point, he started interacting with the Oaxacan Native Mendoza Clan.
As soon as Leon was released from prison, he signed deals with two major television shows. Additionally, he wrote Wasting Talent and gave the movie rights to William De Los Santos, who will helm it. Nick Stahl is supposedly the film’s lead character.
Idiot Savant: The Vicious Life of Ryan Leone, a full-length documentary about Leon, is also in production. In 2018, the author founded The Prodigy Fund. It is a nonprofit group whose goals are to end mass incarceration and increase prisoner literacy in the United States.
