He was a Station Training Captain from 2004 to 2010, during which time he was instrumental in instructing and guiding other firefighters.

Ryan was an Operations Captain in the Algonquin Highlands from 1995 to 2010, making a substantial contribution to both operational management and firefighting efforts.

Ryan’s desire to impart his knowledge drove him to work as a Fire and Emergency Services Instructor at Humber College from 2003 to 2007.

He shared his expertise and experience with aspiring firemen at the institution, assisting them in acquiring the skills they would need for their future employment.
