Sadie Sink, who rose to fame as Max Mayfield in Stranger Things, has revealed the truth about the actress entering the MCU.

Given how many renowned celebrities are entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s no surprise that MCU casting rumors circulate on a regular basis!

Sadie Sink, who has become the star to watch for, whether it’s her scene-stealing performance as Max Mayfield in Stranger Things or her spectacular performance opposite Dylan O’Brien in Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: A Short Film, is the next superstar rumored to join the beloved superhero universe.

In an interview with ExtraTV to promote her upcoming film Dear Zoe, Sadie was questioned if the MCU casting rumors were accurate.

When asked about the rumors that she would join the MCU, Sadie Sink stated, “Oh! I noticed this. I can, and I’m denying these rumors.

They’re… It’s not true.
(laughs) No, I’ve heard the rumors.
I have no idea where these originated from.
But, as of now, they are not true.
(chuckles)”

The second question posed to Sink was, “Would she want to join the MCU if the opportunity arose?”:

“Sure…
Okay, I’ll look at this fanart.
Sure, if the appropriate superhero comes along.
But who wouldn’t want to play a superhero?”

When asked if she wants to play a specific Marvel superhero, especially with fans picturing her as X-Jean Men’s Grey/Phoenix – previously played by Game of Thrones stars Sophie Turner and Famke Janssen – Sadie Sink confessed, “I don’t know enough about it to know what superheroes are available right now.

I have no idea.
I’ll keep an eye out, though.”
