Famous content creator Sahil was born to David E. Bloom and Lakshmi Reddy Bloom. His parents married in 1982. Sahil’s sister Sonali graduated from Yale. His father is a famous American novelist, lecturer, economist, and demographer. He is Harvard School of Public Health’s respected Economics and Demography Professor. David, a prominent multidisciplinary social science researcher, has contributed to health, demography, education, and labor. With over 250 papers and books, David Bloom is a respected specialist.
He has refereed almost 50 scholarly journals. He also serves on Science Magazine’s Board of Reviewing Editors since August 1991. His father started studying economics at Columbia University in July 1987. He was an economics professor there till 1996.
In July 1995, he became interim executive director of the prestigious Harvard Institute for International Development. His knowledge has also been shared with graduate and undergraduate students. On May 8, 2022, Sahil tweeted his affection for his mother. His open letter declared him a proud mama’s kid and conveyed his deep love and thanks for her instruction.

Unfortunately, David’s parents disowned him after learning about his connection. They made a heartbreaking offer: pick between them, his family, or his loving Indian lover.
David left his parents and built a life on love to escape the hate. In a touching post on January 5, 2021, Sahil disclosed that his grandmother sent telegrams to his grandpa, who was hundreds of miles away earning his Ph.D. when she delivered her first child. In a LinkedIn post, he said his mother hired a young writer to write about his 94-year-old grandmother’s life in India.
This endeavor provided his grandma much delight, and the book will offer their family joy for years to come. The project is finished, and copies will be printed to celebrate his grandmother’s 95th birthday and her incredible trip.
