Career and death of Sally Kellerman
Jack Krane, Sally Kellerman’s son, announced his mother’s passing following a protracted battle with dementia. She was given the diagnosis in 2017, and since then, she has been having difficulties.
According to Krane, he last saw her the day before she passed away. The day Sally Kellerman was born was June 2, 1937. Her father was a Shell Oil businessman from St. Louis, Missouri, and her mother was a Portland, Arkansas, piano instructor. Kellerman spent nearly 60 years working in the entertainment industry.
She has appeared in movies including Brewster McCloud, Ready to Wear, The Player, and others in addition to M*A*S*H. Aside from acting, Kellerman has also published two CDs of original music. She composed the music for several movies, including Brewster McCloud, Lost Horizon, and Boris and Natasha: The Movie.
Because of her deep voice, Kellerman was chosen to perform voice-overs for commercials for brands including Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing, Mercedes-Benz, and Revlon. The 1957 movie Reform School Girl served as the Long Beach, California native’s feature film debut. He then continued to appear on television throughout the 1960s.
For her work in M*A*S*H in 1970, she received nominations for both the Oscar and the Golden Globe. In April 2013, Kellerman’s book Read My Lips: Stories of a Hollywood Life was released. In her book, she discussed her experiences working in the entertainment world.
