Drake’s now 61-year-old mother later moved with him to Forest Hill, a wealthier part of town, when he was in sixth grade.

Drake’s parents have a reciprocal relationship, despite not being together. Dennis even paid a heartfelt homage to Sandi on her birthday in 2021. Drake’s father wrote on his Instagram to wish his ex-wife a happy birthday:

Graham’s Cutest Bond With Her Son Drake

Drake’s love for his mother, Sandi Graham, and hers for him, has been quite obvious throughout the years, and she is a lovely manifestation of a mother-son relationship desire. Sandi has always put her son first, and she never forgets to wish him a happy birthday, song release, successes, and son.

Graham pampered her rapper son with flowers and encouraging love messages in the lead-up to the release of his album, Certified Lover Boy, in September 2021. Drake shared images of red rose bouquets and words from his mother in the days leading up to the release of his new collection.

The Canadian mother continued to send her best wishes to the rapper as the album’s release date approached. While doing so, she emphasized how being his mother had been the greatest joy of her life. She also highlighted their long and difficult journey together.

Her singer son, Graham, has frequently spoken about his and his mother’s difficult times. Sandi found half of a house they could live in while Drake was away.

The upper part was taken by the others, while the bottom half was taken by the mother and son. Sandi lived on the first floor, while Drake lived in the basement. Drake noted in one interview that it wasn’t big or luxurious, but it was all Graham could afford. He remembers how his mother was frequently ill and how poor they were.

Sandi Graham attempted to find a partner for her son.

Graham, like any other mother, has done her best and may still be doing her best to locate her handsome son a perfect life partner. This topic, as usual, has made it into one of Drake’s songs. Sandi once told her son,

“Who the fuck wants to be 70 and alone?'”

This was gonna be included in the Canadian singer’s collection one way or another. As a result, From Time and one of its lyrics appeared.

“My mother is 66 years old, and her favorite line to hit me with is, ‘Who the fuck wants to be 70 and alone?'”

It’s a question that affects not only Graham’s life but also her son’s. She is implying that while the Brit Award winner is youthful now, that youth will not stay forever. As a result, he must locate a woman with whom he wishes to settle down for the long term, not only for the short term.

Drake’s mother even tried to set him up with her personal trainer.

Serena Williams was Sandi Graham’s dream daughter-in-law.

Sandi Graham thought Wimbledon star Serena Williams was “the one” for him, according to a Hollywood Life article in August 2014, amidst speculations of Drake and Rihanna’s revived affair. At the time, the tennis star was said to be having an affair with the rapper.

According to a source, Drake and his mother are quite close, and he listens to her like the nice man he is. According to the insider, Sandi wasn’t thinking of anyone decent for Drake, but if she had to pick one woman he’s been with, it would be Serena. Sandi admired Serena’s athleticism and described her as a sweet and wholesome girl.

That ship, however, has long sailed, as Williams is now married to Alexis Ohanian and Drake is dating model Johanna Leia.

Graham’s Grandkids

When Drake’s girlfriend, Sophie Brussaux, gave birth to her son Adonis Graham in 2017, Sandi Graham and her ex-husband, Dennis Graham, became grandparents. Drake, Sandi’s son, was initially confused whether Adonis was his child. A paternity test, however, later showed that the child was definitely Drake’s, conceived during his brief romance with Sophie.

Sandi Graham Underwent Hip Surgery

Drake announced his mother, Sandi’s, spine surgery in an interview with Complex in November 2011. The highest-certified digital singles artist described how his mother’s skull was becoming detached from her spine.

Fortunately, the physicians were able to strengthen it, and Drake later reported Graham was “looking younger than ever, moving better than ever.” Sandi’s renowned son then sent her to Rome for a holiday she hadn’t enjoyed in 22 years.

Drake even postponed his European tour to care for his mum.

Sandi Attempts to Flee

Graham’s son revealed in 2009 that one of Successful’s lines was inspired by his family strife and uncertainty about his future in music.

Champagne Papi recalled the dismal period, saying,

“I was actually in a pretty dark place in my life when I was going through the creative process for So Far Gone.” It was a trying period for my family since my grandma, who is now in her mid- to late-nineties, was completely out of it. It was difficult for my mum to witness. And it was just getting to the point where I was wondering, “Is this rap thing going to work?” Is this my choice, for example? Is this what I’m agreeing to?”

Drake elaborated. Degrassi had finished years before, and the family was still trying to find out what to do. The singer also mentioned that his mother was going through a difficult moment. It eventually became too much for her, and one night she broke down and attempted to flee the house, “tried to leave it all behind.”

Drizzy had left something behind in his automobile. As a result, he went outside and noticed suitcases near his mother’s car. The mother and son exchanged glances, and Sandi burst into tears as soon as she saw him.

Sandi Graham had disagreements with her son about his spending habits and her smoking habit.

Sandi is reported to have developed a horrible smoking problem as a result of her previous adversities, and she is continuously on pain medication.

Drake discussed his fallout with his mother about his spending and her smoking habit in “Take Care,” which took place during the difficult times of So Far Gone. Sandi’s son chastised his mother in Nothing Was the Same for choosing to live alone in her apartment, rejecting the premise that she preferred seclusion due to her sickness.

The 6-God rapped in 2015’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late that the tables had reversed and that it was his music profession that kept him away from Sandi. He emphasized that his success had come at a price; he had less time for personal relationships. Despite the fact that they communicated less, the More Life singer says his connection with his mother remained the same.

Sandi’s Son and Her Ex-Husband’s Fight

Dennis Graham, Drake’s father, is still present in his son’s life. Dennis had previously been imprisoned for drug addiction but was later released. On several of his tracks, the four-time Grammy winner has rapped about his father being away for the majority of his youth.

Dennis, on the other hand, believed Drake used him as an absentee father to “sell records.” Sandi’s son later reacted, emphasizing that he would say anything to anyone who would listen.
Graham’s Opinion On Drake vs. Pusha T

Drake publicly feuded with fellow rapper Pusha T in June 2018.

Despite having despised one other for years, their animosity culminated with Pusha’s release of his Daytona album, which included major digs at the Canadian artist. This spurred Drake to release two songs on the same day, “Duppy Freestyle” and “I’m Upset,” both of which were directed at the president of G.O.O.D. Music, as well as Kanye West.

However, the entire feud received substantial media attention after Pusha T released his scathing diss track “The Story of Adidon,” which targeted Drake’s family and music. The song’s biggest surprise was that it hinted at Drake’s child with French porn star Sophie Brusseau.

Pusha also went at Sandi in the song, saying, “How you (Drake) a winner but she keeps comin’ in last place?”

Graham was clearly pleased that her son was embroiled in such a heated battle with another rapper, especially because her family was also involved. The mother of the five-foot-two-inch rapper said her son and Pusha T were too mature to keep up with such a thing.

Sandi Graham’s Net Worth

Graham’s net worth, unlike her son’s, has yet to be revealed. But, given the love and care she’s received from her affluent son, that shouldn’t be a problem. Drake would not think twice about spending all of his vast riches (near to $200 million) on his mother, Sandi Graham.
