Sarah Spiers | Missing Case

Sarah Spiers

Despite Bradley Robert Edwards’ conviction for the killings of two other young women, the circumstances behind Sarah Spiers’ disappearance remain a mystery.

Sarah Spiers, a Subiaco resident, and employee, was last seen on January 26, 1996, at Club Bayview in Claremont.

Before Ms. Spiers disappeared, she spent the evening drinking with friends and her sister at the Cottesloe Ocean Beach Hotel before moving on to Club Bayview.

Before deciding to go, Ms. Spiers gave her sister one more embrace and a goodnight kiss. After this, she wouldn’t see her again.

At 1.30 am, Ms. Spiers decided to leave the club and get a cab, but she hasn’t yet made it back home.

The incident has sparked debate on the validity of forensic evidence and the necessity of conducting fair and open criminal investigations.

What transpired in the Sarah Spiers Missing Case?

In 1996, a young woman by the name of Sarah Spiers vanished from Perth, Western Australia.

Before 2:00 a.m. on January 27, 1996, Sarah left Club Bayview in Claremont, Western Australia. She used a public phone booth at 2:06 am to call a cab and ask for a ride to Mosman Park, a neighboring neighborhood.

She wasn’t there when the cab pulled up at 2:09 in the morning. Sarah Spiers was seen waiting by herself close to the crossroads of Stirling Road and Stirling Highway, according to witnesses in a vehicle.

After January 26, 1996, Sarah didn’t work again. In the days that followed her abduction, she also neglected to attend activities she had planned with her friends and family.

Sarah Spiers’s body was discovered?

Despite intensive searches and investigations, Sarah’s corpse was never located; her disappearance remained a mystery for more than 20 years.

A breakthrough, however, came in 2016 when Bradley Robert Edwards, a former Telstra technician, was detained and accused of killing Ciara Glennon and Jane Rimmer, two other young women who had also vanished from Claremont in the late 1990s.

Even though Sarah’s corpse has yet to be discovered, Edwards was subsequently also accused of killing her. Due to a lack of evidence connecting him to Sarah Spiers’ disappearance, he was exonerated of her murder.

Despite this, the court determined that Sarah had been kidnapped and killed; the case is still pending.

The fate of Sarah’s remains has been the subject of much speculation, with some speculating that Edwards may have interred it in a secluded area.

What Has Happened to Bradley Robert Edwards?

Bradley Robert Edwards is being held in a maximum-security section of Casuarina Prison in Western Australia until he completes his sentence.

Sarah Spiers is believed to have been murdered by Edwards, a serial killer who preyed on young women leaving nightclubs in the Claremont area between 1996 and 1997.

Ciara Glennon and Jane Rimmer were the only two further victims of Edwards that are recognized.

Following his capture in 2016, Edwards was prosecuted for the killings. He was also charged with murdering Sarah, but that charge was dropped since her corpse was never found.

But the jury found him guilty, and the judge said that he was virtually definitely to fault for Sarah’s passing. Still, Sarah is believed to remain missing.
