Savannah LaBrant’s ex, Tommy Smith, died on September 9, 2022. Everleigh, Savannah’s 10-year-old daughter, was born to Smith.
Savannah, who is now married to Cody LaBrant, has stated that she and Smith will co-parent Everleigh. On September 14, 2022, Savannah LaBrant shared this photo of Smith and Everleigh on her Instagram account. She added in the caption to the post:
“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Tommy, Everleigh’s father.” He was head over heels in love with Everleigh. We respectfully request privacy during this difficult time so that our family can continue to love on Ev, pray for her, and mourn alongside her. “We appreciate your prayers for Everleigh.”
Coutney Santaella, Tommy Smith’s girlfriend, also took to social media to express her grief over the death of her 29-year-old partner. She sent a slideshow of photos and videos of the two having fun. Smith was “taken abruptly to be with Jesus,” Santaella wrote in the caption. Amber, Tommy’s sister, also posted about her brother’s death on her Facebook page. The Smith family has yet to reveal the cause of death.

Thomas Walter “Tommy” Smith was a California native who worked for the architectural and design firm Khandroo Designs. He previously worked for Inter-Sky engineering. Smith grew a sizable social media following as a result of his friendship with Savannah LaBrant, the matriarch of The LaBrant Fam, a YouTube family based in California.
He has over 97.3k Instagram followers, where he used to post photos of his daily life as well as pictures from his time co-parenting his daughter Everleigh. According to his social media posts, Smith loved the outdoors and was a constant presence in his daughter’s life. Tommy Smith and Savannah LaBrant dated on and off between 2012 and 2016. Unfortunately, the two had a rocky relationship, and Savannah’s pregnancy at the age of 19 made matters even more complicated.
In a video titled The Truth About Savannah’s Past, the YouTuber described Savannah’s relationship with Smith as “toxic.” She did, however, admit that they had finally found a happy way to co-parent Everleigh and were “friends.” Savannah’s husband, Cody, also stated that Smith was “amazing” with Everleigh.
Cause of death speculation for Tommy Smith
The cause of Smith’s death had not been made public at the time of writing. According to sources, TiKToker @daisyjanewood told followers that Tommy Smith died as a result of a drug-related seizure. She claimed on social media that Smith and his Alcoholics Anonymous companion unintentionally ingested fentanyl, causing a seizure and cardiac arrest. It’s worth noting that no formal autopsy report has been released, so these claims remain unsubstantiated.
