Jenny Alexander stated in the Instagram post’s description:

“My spouse passed away yesterday. My children have recently lost their father. He passed away from a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St. Kitts and never returned to us. We were devastated.”

Scott Alexander appeared as a magician on America’s Got Talent and advanced to the Quarterfinals.

Scott Alexander, a season 6 contestant on America’s Got Talent, died as a result of a stroke

As previously stated, the magician who died of a stroke was a contestant on the popular American talent show’s sixth season. On the first episode of America’s Got Talent season 6, Scott auditioned for a magic performance that included a “levitation” technique (2011). He appeared to make a lady appear out of nowhere, supported by water, and then levitate.

The judges’ panel, which included Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel, unanimously approved Scott Alexander’s performance, and he qualified for the Vegas Round. Scott was one of three magicians who appeared on stage in the first episode of Vegas Roud (the 11th episode of the sixth season), alongside “Fantastic Fig and Cat” and Michael Turco.

Scott, on the other hand, was the only one of the “Judges’ Favorites” to advance to the next round. At Vegas Roud, Scott Alexander performed an illusion show in which a lady vanished and reappeared after moving from one side of a circle to the other. After unanimous approval from all of the judges, he advanced to the Season 6 Quarterfinals.

Scott Alexander made an appearance on America’s Got Talent Season 6 Quarterfinals during the fourth week. Scott performed another feat of magic, making a gospel choir vanish and reappear from afar. Despite the loud applause from the audience, Scott was eliminated from the competition because his performance did not receive enough votes.

Following his elimination from America’s Got Talent, Scott appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us season 2 alongside another America’s Got Talent graduate (season 7), The Magic of Puck. Jonathan Goodwin, a former escapologist, and daredevil took to Twitter to express his grief after Scott Alexander died. Here’s what Goodwin had to say on Twitter:

Scott is survived by his wife, Jenny Alexander, and their three children.
