Next month, Season 2 of Sweet Tooth will be available on Netflix. Jim Mickle, who created Season 1 of the TV series based on Jeff Lemire’s comic book of the same name, will also return for Season 2.
Netflix released the first season of the epic drama on June 4, 2021, and the second season premiered a month later. The second season of Sweet Tooth has not yet received a preview, and fans are eager to see what it has in store.
Nonso Anozie reprises his role as Tommy Jepperd, Adeel Akhtar reprises his role as Dr. Aditya Singh, and Christian Convery reprises his role as Gus. The second episode of the drama, which will be released on Netflix on April 27, 2023, is being anticipated by fans.
Season two of Sweet Appetite will consist of eight episodes.
The series’ social media channels posted an update regarding the upcoming season alongside a number of first-look images:
“All mixes, please. We’ve returned! On April 27, Season 2 of Sweet Appetite will be available exclusively on Netflix.”
The first season closed with Gus being imprisoned in an abandoned menagerie by the Last Men. The Last Men are a militia group led by the villainous General Abbot (Neil Sandilands).
In season 2, Gus (Christian Convery) decides to team up with Dr. Singh to defend his friends, which “begins a bleak journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s (Amy Seimetz) role in the events leading up to The Great Collapse.”
Indeed, the next season, like the first, will consist of eight episodes, all of which are expected to be released on the same day. The following is an overview of the upcoming season provided by the OTT behemoth:
“Gus and a group of fellow hybrids are held prisoner by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men as a new wave of Infected approaches. Abbot utilizes the children as evidence in the trials of prisoner Dr. Aditya Singh, who is rushing to save his ailing wife Rani (Aliza Vellani) in attempt to gain control.”
In addition to those already mentioned, the Sweet Appetite season 2 cast also comprises:
- Naledi Murray as Wendy
- Christopher Sean Cooper Jr. as Teddy Turtle
- Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear
- Marlon Williams as Johnny Abbot
- Yonas Kibreab as Finn Fox
James Brolin, winner of two Golden Globes, will serve as the series narrator. From January and May 2022, the cast and crew of season 2 will be based in Warkworth and Auckland, New Zealand. The only filming location for Season 1 was also in the country.
