In January 2022, Google co-founder Sergey Brin filed for divorce from his wife Nicole Shanahan, the founder and chief executive officer of ClearAccessIP, an integrated patent management platform.
Brin stated that the decision was made as a result of “irreconcilable differences.” According to court documents, the ex-shares couples will be divided equally.
Additionally,
“Any disputes regarding the parties’ property rights or duties shall be settled by private, binding arbitration in accordance with the parties’ agreed agreement.”
Brin has requested shared custody of their child. Neither party, however, will pursue spousal support. The former marriage has also retained a private temporary judge in order to conceal the verdict’s processes.
The petitioner is Google’s co-founder, according to Sergey’s attorney, and given their high-profile relationship, people are curious about their divorce and child custody issues.
If the couple’s daily routines are made public, their child may be subject to danger, harassment, or abduction, according to Brin’s attorney.
