Following an altercation with a flight attendant, track and field athlete Sha’Carri claimed in images and videos that she was kicked from an American Airlines aircraft.
On January 21, 2023, the 22-year-old athlete shared the video on her official Instagram, which has 2.2 million followers. Richardson addresses the camera directly at the beginning of the clip.
She said that this was her day off from work. Where the runner was flying to is unknown. A moment later, she shifts the focus of her camera to a nearby flight attendant, who is seen reversing course.

It seems as if the flight attendant is being asked to put her phone away. Sha’Carri then claimed she was taking a video of herself when he leaped into it, causing her to catch him.
After that, she complained to the flight attendant that he was bugging her and asked him to stop. What transpired between them before to the video’s capture is unclear.
The athlete is then heard being asked to cease filming by another flight attendant.
As she recorded a video for herself, Richardson made it obvious that she would continue to record. She said that the tape will demonstrate the conduct of the flight attendants.
On the same day, the track and field sprinter posted a lengthier video that depicts the moment just before crew members ordered her to leave.

The track and field athlete was chatting with another passenger when someone arrived and asked her to get out of the car. Richardson questioned the reason for which the individual said, “The captain wants you off the plane.”
She quickly takes her luggage and exits the aircraft.
The athlete questioned if it would be improper to file a lawsuit against the airline in the caption. She said that she felt in danger.

Richardson achieved qualification for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. She was suspended when the pee test revealed that the cannabinoid THC was present.
After successfully completing a rehabilitation program, she consented to a one-month ban from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), which will begin on June 28, 2021.
Despite being qualified, she did not run in the 100 meters at the Olympics since her ban lifted on July 27, 2021. She said that she used medications to deal with the stress of qualifying for the Olympics as well as her mother’s passing.
