Shalie trained in MMA and Muay Thai in Thailand and was a member of the Academy of Combat Arts in Fargo, Minnesota. She had only recently returned to the US. While still in school, Lipp was interested in track and field as well as gymnastics in addition to being an MMA competitor.
Eric Sweeney, Lipp’s trainer, expressed his sorrow and paid respect to her, calling her a “wonderful human” with ambition and potential. Sweeney noted that Lipp was one of the few people he had met who was seeking greatness.
Shalie Lipp’s unexpected passing is difficult to understand, but Sweeney promised he would never forget her. A multi-vehicle collision on Sunday caused the death of Shalie Lipp, an amateur mixed martial arts fighter, in Moorhead, Minnesota. According to Minnesota authorities, Lipp was a passenger in a 2015 Chevy Malibu that slammed into another vehicle on the Red River Bridge, which connects North Dakota and Minnesota.
Sadly, Lipp was the sole fatality in the collision; everyone else engaged escaped uninjured. Authorities then found out that Lipp was not using a seatbelt at the time of the collision. At the time of the incident, Jen Bucholz Lipp, Lipp’s mother, was on her route to Moorhead to work as a nanny for a small girl. Bucholz said that she is still in the stage of denial and anticipates that as time passes, it will become harder for her to deal with Lipp’s loss.
She can participate in the UFC one day, according to Lipp’s brother, an MMA fighter who has dreams of becoming a pro. The news of her passing saddened everyone in her family, who have been dealing with it while also receiving prayers and condolences from her admirers and friends.
