Following Harper’s departure during the second week of training, Ponton was left as the blue team’s official trainer, a position he held until the show’s third season in 2008. He has been the blue team trainer for a total of ten seasons, as he continues to do in The Biggest Loser Australia 2016: It has been transformed. Muirfield High School in North Rocks, New South Wales, was his alma mater. Ponton appeared on the Seven Network’s reality show SAS: Who Dares Wins Australia in 2020.
