On August 13, 1990, in Beverly Hills, California, Shannon Nicole Dawson was born into a family consisting of Richard Dawson and Gretchen Johnson. On the very first Family Feud program in 1994, Dawson revealed the image of his newborn daughter. She is of Caucasian origin and holds American citizenship.
From her father’s first marriage to Diana Dors, Dawson also has two elder half-siblings, Mark and Gary. On February 4, 1960, Richard wed Diana in London. But in April 1967, after seven years of marriage, they called it quits.
