On October 7, 1952, Sharon Rachel Osbourne (née Levy, afterwards Arden) was born in London, England.
She is the daughter of Hope (née Shaw) (1916-1999) and Don Arden (1926-2007).

Her mother is Irish and her father is Ashkenazi Jewish, hence she hails from a mixed-race family.

Ozzy Osbourne was expelled from the band by Don, who managed Black Sabbath. In 1979, Sharon and Ozzy began dating, and she later took over the management of the Arden band as a solo artist.
