Logan Marshall Green

Each person in the world has about six doppelgängers, according to scientists. For the Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Logan Marshall-Green, it appears that we have uncovered at least two of them in the form of his twin brother Taylor Marshall-Green and Tom Hardy.

Because of their uncanny physical similarity, fans have long been baffled as to which of the Hollywood doppelganger actors Marshall-Green and Hardy they are seeing. The similarities don’t stop there, though; they are the same age and have played similar roles in films.

Hardy was born in London, England, on September 15, 1977, while Marshall-Green and his twin brother were born in Charleston, South California, on November 1, 1976.

When the two shared the stage at the Prometheus premiere in London, it confused the fans even more. When Hardy walked onto the red carpet, many mistakenly thought he was Marshall-Green. Marshall-Green, however, delayed the situation by arriving on the scene and at the after-party.

In a 2012 conversation with Oh, No They Didn’t, Marshall-Green was asked about it and responded that he would be “proud to be in the same sentence as Tom Hardy.”

I’ve been confused with another man my entire life since I’ve been a fraternal twin since the day I was born—we look a lot similar.

Similar Roles of Tom Hardy and Logan Marshall-Green

Fans’ confusion about the pair may stem from the fact that they have frequently played similar roles. Marshall-Green in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Hardy in The Revenant both played antagonists with a long beards in the middle of the 2010s blockbusters (2015).

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marshall-Green portrayed Jackson Brice, who in some ways freakishly resembled Hardy. The fact that the latter had played Eddie Rock in both Spider-Man: Homecoming and the stand-alone movie Venom complicated matters.

Hardy in Peaky Blinders and Marshall-Green in The Invitation both sported beards that were only slightly longer than their natural hair length.

They also played two powerful sci-fi heroes throughout the same decade. In Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Hardy played Max, while Marshall-Green played Charlie Holloway in Prometheus (2012).

Additionally, they played characters with long hair, Marshall-Green in Madame Bovary (2014) and Hardy in Minotaur (2006). Aside from that, the lookalike pair has appeared in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (Hardy) and Alchemy as blond characters with extremely similar appearances (Marshall-Green).

Fan Reactions to the Situation with the Lookalike

Since more than ten years ago, there have been numerous responses from fans who have contrasted the two Hollywood stars and even questioned whether they are related.

A fan tweeted, “If I were directing the Face/off remake I would cast Tom Hardy and Logan Marshall-Green,” after sharing photographs of the two stars side by side.

“I still don’t get how Tom Hardy and Logan Marshall-Green are two separate people,” a second person said. I don’t. The same person is here.

Additionally, the two performers’ followers want to see them portraying brotherhood on TV. One supporter tweeted, “Logan Marshall-Green and Tom Hardy brother buddy police movie please and thank you!”

Some have even made light of the fact that the two may have competed for the same roles as a result of their similar appearances.

On Twitter, a commenter said, “Logan Marshall-Green has probably lost roles to Tom Hardy early in their careers.” Another person said, “Help help, I just found out about this guy named Logan Marshall-Green who claims NOT to be Tom Hardy, is this a glitch, does everyone else know about this?
