Mihajlovic, sadly, received a leukemia diagnosis in 2019. Before the awful conclusion, the man heroically fought his illness for almost three years.
Three days prior to the 2022 World Cup Finals, the free-kick expert Sinisa passed suddenly at a hospital in Rome after a battle with leukemia.
After leading Bologna to great success in 2019, Mihajlovic made his illness public. Fans and athletes alike have come to love him.
The team praised Mihajlovic, their coach, for wanting to continue in the position despite his illness. Even his teammates paid their coach a visit at the window of Mihajlovic’s hospital.
After being fired in September, Sinisa sought medical attention at Mihajlovic’s hospital.
Mihajlovic, however, did not live to see the 2022 World Cup Finals.
Italian league Serie A paid tribute to him by posting a sincere condolence on their Twitter account, which read:
Sinisa Mihajlovic’s death has left Serie A with great sorrow.
His condition eventually got worse every day in December of this year. The renowned athlete and coach will be missed this Christmas by his loved ones and admirers.
