Sipho Kaleni A Gospel Musician Died At 46 Years Of Age

Sipho Kaleni, a musician, died of sickness on August 1, 2022, at the age of 46. The formal notice of Kaleni’s death implies that he died after a brief illness, however, the details remain unknown. Since May 2022, Kaleni has ‘apparently’ been ill. The Crown Gospel Music Awards, which Kaleni co-founded, issued a statement regarding the tragic news.

According to the declaration:

“The International Gospel Powerhouse mourns the passing of Sipho Kaleni, a founding member of the Crowns Gospel Music Awards’ EXCO. Kaleni, a competent minister of the word, singer, famous MC, radio host, and devoted member of the SDA church, had been ill since approximately May of this year, and despite recent signs of improvement, he passed away in the early hours of this morning, August 1, 2022.”

Sipho Kaleni’s life and actions progressed

Sipho Kaleni was a well-known South African musician who specialized in Christian music. He was born on September 21, 1975.

As a child, Kaleni attended Nkumbulo Comprehensive School and Umsobomvu Primary School before attending Mbira School of Music and Arts. 1998 marked the beginning of Kaleni’s career as a producer and recording artist.

Later on, he broadened his knowledge to encompass writing, arranging, and recognizing talent. He was thereafter responsible for evaluating new gospel records for Radio Pulpit.

Eventually, he founded Parousia Communications and assumed the position of Director of Overeth Music Productions and Publishing. Kaleni was also a part of the Crowns Gospel Music Awards’ founding EXCO.

He was also the Radio Station Manager for Adventist World Radio for a time. In addition to hosting Gospel Gold, the performer frequently spoke at public events.

Sipho Kaleni has cooperated with Lebo Sekgobela, Mabongi, and Bishop Benjamin Dube during his career as an emcee for several events and gospel music CDs.

Kaleni was also a musician and Spirit of Praise host. The Crown Gospel Music Awards praised Kaleni’s exceptional award-hosting abilities in a statement. They claimed:

“Unbeknownst to many, Kaleni was not only our Spokesman but also played a big role in the preparation and production of the performance. He also introduced the award presenters before they reached the stage and the nominees before the winners were revealed.

Users of social media and fans of the artist took to Twitter to mourn the musician’s passing. The only information about the musician’s burial that has been made public is that he is survived by his wife, Brenda Kaleni, his children, and his mother.
