H1-KEY’s Sitala Wongkrachang has chosen to leave the group for personal reasons. The singer’s departure from the group was officially announced by the singer’s agency, GLG.

my name is GLG, hello. We regret to inform you that Sitala, a previous member of H1-KEY, has decided to leave the team for personal reasons.

The new K-pop female group was created and is managed by Sony Music Entertainment Korea and Grandline Group. As of the right moment, the trio consists of Seoi, Riina, and Yel. Sitala was a member of the group, which released its first single album, Athletic Girl, on January 5, 2022.

Grandline Group, Sitala’s management company, officially announced the idol’s departure from the up-and-coming female group on May 25, 2022. The group made its debut in January 2022 with the smash hit Athletic Girl. The news that group member Sitala chose to leave the group for personal reasons has infuriated online users, according to the agency.

“The agency discussed this matter in-depth with Sitala and the other H1-KEY members, and the conclusion was reached after a thorough examination of the total circumstances,” the statement reads.

The agency continued by expressing regret for the unexpected announcement’s alarming effect on fans. Additionally, it requested that admirers wish the K-pop singer and the rest of the group a prosperous future.

“First and foremost, we deeply apologize for causing anxiety with such unexpected news. Please give Sitala and the other H1-KEY members who want to relaunch their dreams your warm support in the future. I appreciate it very much.

Sitala, on the other hand, came under fire online in 2021 for her family’s supposed involvement in Thailand’s political unrest in 2014. Sitala’s father was a Thai actor and director named Sarunyu Wongkrachang. According to various accounts, Sarunyu Wongkrachang was working with the People’s Democratic Reform Committee, a key player in the 2014 Thai political crisis.

Grandline Group responded at the time, confirming that they will keep Sitala in H1-KEY despite the widespread criticism of her removal from the program from online users. The agency came to the conclusion that it could not hold Sitala accountable for her father’s prior decisions and actions, which were out of her hands.
