Diggins and her long-term partner got engaged on June 20, 2016, after dating as boyfriend and girlfriend for a long time. Diggins’ career began in high school, and she finished with 2,790 points, the third-highest female scoring total in Indiana history, averaging 25.9 points per game. Throughout that time, she led the Panthers to state championship games, including Washington’s championship season in 2007.
Diggins has won the Gatorade Indiana Girls Basketball Player of the Year award twice. She was a WBCA All-American as well as a McDonald’s All-American. Diggins was the fourth Indiana native to join the Irish as a freshman after graduating from high school in 2009-2010.
