A well-known South Korean actress named Song Hye Kyo recently rose to fame because to her part in the popular Netflix series “The Glory.”

On November 22, 1981, in her birthplace of Daegu, South Korea, Hye Kyo was born to her mother and father, Song Dae Seob.

The actress was in such poor health when she was born that her parents and the doctors worried she wouldn’t survive.

Song’s parents changed the date on her birth certificate from her actual birthdate to February 26, 1982 after she had recovered.

Hye Kyo’s mother raised the artist after her parents divorced when she was a young child. Surprisingly, Song’s mother’s identity, including her name and line of work, is unknown.

In elementary school, the actress studied figure skating, but after moving from her hometown of Daegu to Seoul’s Gangnam District in the eighth grade, she stopped.

A single mother brought up Song Hye Kyo. She spent several years being raised by her grandfather because she lacked a father.

After she became famous, the actress’s father agreed to an interview and expressed his sadness at having missed his daughter’s growth. He once dared not watch the TV program in which his daughter appeared out of embarrassment, and he would cry each time he did.
