The Lingerie Line of Stacey Dash
After baring all for Playboy once, Dash entered the fashion industry and debuted her lingerie line, Letters of Marque, in 2008. Dash advertised the romantic boudoir works at her own booth at trade exhibitions to ensure that the attention was on her designs rather than herself.
She put a lot of effort into her line at the time. But since 2010, there hasn’t been any news about Letters of Marque.
Stacey Dash Alleges Being Bankrupt
Dash’s net worth was estimated to be $8.0 million as of 2018. The mother of two’s net worth, however, is currently estimated to be $100,000. Dash claims that because of this, she cannot afford legal representation.
Dash is currently wed to Jeffrey Marty, a lawyer who manages a spoof Twitter account for Steven Smith, a fictional congressman.
When Michael Cohen, the former attorney for President Trump, tweeted about the nonexistent congressman endorsing Trump, this story gained attention.
On September 29, Dash claimed Marty had attacked her during a fight and dialed 911. When the police arrived, they discovered that Dash had shoved and slapped Marty, and they detained her on suspicion of domestic assault.
She was detained, and a $500.00 bail was issued for her. Marty ironically paid her bond.
Dash states that when Marty reportedly tried to choke her, she defended herself. She entered a not guilty plea to the domestic assault accusations against her on Wednesday and is contesting them in court.
Her inability to pay for a separate defense attorney is the issue. She stated in a different court document that she was impoverished and in need of a public lawyer, who entered her official plea and asked for a jury trial.
