After four members tested positive for COVID-19, upcoming STAYC events, including the group’s inaugural fan gathering called Stay Cool Party, will be postponed.
STAYC won’t take part in the Ulsan Summer Festival or Show in 2022! Sound Core. The female group’s management company, High UP Entertainment, announced on August 9, 2022, that member J’s PCR test results on August 8 were negative. J, however, after feeling physical discomfort, tested positive for a rapid antigen test. On August 8, COVID-19 tests for STAYC members Sumin, Sieun, Seeun, and Isa were positive.
The group’s agency also disclosed on August 9 that Yoon had once again tested negative. In South Korea, COVID-19 instances are increasing, and the government has implemented numerous limitations to secure the safety of the populace. Due to COVID-19, STAYC postponed its first fan gathering, which its followers had eagerly anticipated for a very long period.
A fan event was initially planned for August 13, 2022, because of how quickly the group gained notoriety. According to the K-pop group’s management, fans will have to wait till the situation gets better. The agency will soon announce the updated itinerary.

On August 8, 2022, HIGHUP Entertainment reported that group member Sieun tested positive using a self-test kit while experiencing a mild sore throat. According to the agency, the other members self-test kits yielded negative results.
Sumin, Seeun, and Isa all had positive PCR results, albeit the members also underwent testing. The PCR testing for J and Yoon was currently scheduled to be finished shortly. The gang’s members received three vaccinations. Due to positive COVID-19 tests and other official health limitations, members are currently in quarantine.
Additionally, HIGH-UP Entertainment expressed regret to the female group’s supporters for the bad news and promised to put the member’s health first.
The gang has recently had to battle health issues. On July 31, a group member named Isa announced that she would be unable to participate in group activities due to an ankle injury. Isa hurt her right ankle while getting ready for her activities, the agency claims and was getting treatment.
Since none of the members were present in the episode of SBS’s Inkigayo, the group’s management promised to keep an eye on the artist’s health. The group, except Isa, was still expected to show up for the Idol Star Athletics Championships taping and the autograph session.
