Stephen Vogt comes from a religiously-minded athletic household. The manager of the Cleveland Guardians received his baseball genes from his father, who was both a player and coach.
In 2007, Vogt made his MLB debut. The Rays selected him in the twelfth round, and he spent ten years as an MLB player. Before he retired in style last year, the catcher was a member of six different clubs.

Stephen Vogt resides with his family in Olympia, Washington. Three kids are raised by the former coach of the Seattle Mariners and his spouse, Alyssa Vogt. Her spouse and the majority of the Guardians’ executives have had comparable professional positions. Alyssa was the women’s basketball coach at Tumwater High in the past.

Stephen Vogt is Randy and Toni L. Vogt’s second child. His older brother is former Athletics catcher Danny Vogt. The next MLB manager comes from a religious family because his great-grandfather was a Mennonite Brethren church pastor. Vogt stated in an interview that he was brought up with Christian principles, beliefs, and concepts, as was his brother.
Randy and Toni took great care to ensure that their sons did not view the church as merely another building, and they did not take their Sunday church visits lightly. Stephen mentioned that his dad emphasized the value of having a leader in a Christian household. Randy was a CPA in Visalia, California.
He would rise early to work at 3 a.m. to get home in time to train his boys at 3 p.m. He was a pitcher for the Fresno State baseball team in 1976 before taking over as Central Valley Christian High School’s head coach. Stephen has often talked about the importance of his parents in his life. Stephen said to NBC Sports that he might have easily taken the wrong turn if it weren’t for his father’s early guidance and the support of his family.
