Lindsay was convinced by Carl that they were going to a campfire so that he could pop the question. When they arrived at the location, Lindsay, whom they have been seeing since the beginning of 2022, was greeted with a private picnic.
The long and lovely proposal came before the picnic. When Carl proposed to Lindsay, he allegedly hid the ring in a beach bag he had with him and said, “Our love story was only getting begun.” Lindsay answered his question, “A thousand times, yeah!”
The relationship between Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard at Summer House
The Bravo show’s original cast included Lindsay and Carl when it first aired in the summer of 2017. During their fourth trip to the Hamptons in 2019 they tried to turn their friendship into a relationship. Carl stated he didn’t want to be in a committed relationship with the Summer House actress, which caused friction between the two. Later, with Lindsay present, he made a date request to a fitness instructor.
Lindsay took to Instagram to express her outrage, and Carl acknowledged that alcohol might have had an impact on his decision. He told Entertainment Tonight during the Summer House Season 4 promotion:
Lindsay is a beautiful young woman. While I’m single, you’re drinking and having a fantastic time. They think you should get out with your best friend. That typically has positive results. I occasionally woke up in the mornings not knowing what had happened the night before.
Later, the Summer House couple stayed together and helped one another through difficult times. When Carl’s brother passed away in the fifth season of the show, Lindsay was there to comfort him. In October 2021, Carl declared that he had completed 10 months of sobriety.
When they posted pictures of themselves together on social media shortly after, their romance was once again in the spotlight. The two even dressed like a couple for Halloween. Finally, Carl revealed their relationship to US Weekly in January 2022.
“I’m happy to say that things are going well and that we are dating. We’re ecstatic. She has been a significant support in my life for a long time. We make each other laugh hysterically. When I’m around her, I feel the most like myself ever. That strikes me as forceful.
Aside from that, the Summer House actor claimed that things between the two turned romantic near the end of season 6 production in September 2021. While Carl claimed that because Lindsay was his best friend, he was initially afraid, he added:
Simply said, there have been more sensations. We are together all the time. How often have our friends asked us, “Oh, what about, you know…?” is beyond me. Like, you’re always thinking about Lindsay and me. And for some reason, I hastened to get away from it. Dating your best friend is terrifying, so I was afraid.
Since then, they have hung together, traveled together, visited each other’s families, and attended award shows and red carpets together. In May 2022, the couple revealed to US Weekly that they were getting ready to live together.
They were “very serious, in love, and very happy,” according to Carl, and they were relocating to a “whole new place.” The 37-year-old went on to say:
We are extremely happy to start this new chapter together. Although sharing a home is a big step, we’ve been doing it for more than a year by occasionally moving into each other’s apartments.
To honor the occasion, additional Summer House cast members were present. They included Andrea Denver, Mya Allen, Danielle Olivera, Paige DeSorbo, Kyle Cooke, and Danielle Olivera.
According to PEOPLE, Carl proposed with a “glamourous Nicole Rose ring with a 3.5-carat square brilliant cut cushion and two half-moon diamonds on the side.” The couple afterward celebrated at Dockers Waterside Marina & Restaurant with friends and relatives. Hubbard’s stepmother and father had traveled from Florida to be there for the wedding.
