Sunny spent his entire life in Mumbai with his parents Dilip and Vasu Pawar, but he hasn’t revealed much about them to the public – it is known that his father Dilip worked as a sweeper in a Maharashtra government office, and his mother is a homemaker. Pawar also has a brother and a sister, the names of whom are unknown.

Sunny’s acting career began in 2016 when he was cast as Saroo Brierley in the film “Lion.” It made him famous as soon as the film aired, and the fact that Sunny beat out over 2,000 other children in India for the role has astounded many of his followers.
Unfortunately for Sunny, he was unable to attend the film’s US premiere since he was denied a visa; nevertheless, he was able to obtain one thanks to the assistance of a few well-known Hollywood actors. The film is about a young kid named Saroo Brierley who was left alone on a train that transported him more than 100 kilometers from his hometown of Kolkata. He was begging for food and money on the streets until he was adopted by an Australian couple. The adult version of Saroo was played by popular actor Dev Patel, who congratulated Sunny for his performance, saying that no one could have found a better performer for the role.
Sunny doesn’t appear to have had many other major roles since his appearance in “Lion” — his other two performances were in the 2018 films “Sacred Games” and “AA BB KK.” Sunny is still regarded as one of India’s most prominent child performers, and he has claimed that if he does not make it as an actor, he aspires to become a police officer in Mumbai.
