Detectives have been looking for the teenager since July 26, 2022. They suspected she had entered a vehicle while returning home from a friend’s house. She was last seen walking toward her house on Windscape Village Lane between 10:07 and 10:21 p.m., according to a location app and a video.

Her phone sent its last signal five minutes later, updating her location to a location on Oak Loch Trace where she was last seen. According to officials, that’s where her phone died and turned off. Authorities initially labeled her a runaway and claimed there was no evidence she was being held against her will, had been physically assaulted, or had been kidnapped.

Her bones were discovered near the border of Gwinnett and Barrow counties in early February. Bryant, according to police, dumped her naked body in the woods. According to the warrants, Bryant lived in the same Norcross neighborhood as Morales’ family and the scene of her initial disappearance.
