Jeff Goodman’s daughter, Talia Goodman, works for Hoosier Networks. The adolescent had previously worked for NBC and founded a sports media startup.
Talia has been running Goods Sports Media for two years and has more than 5,000 Instagram followers. She has been interested in journalism since she attended Pingree High School. Talia was previously the editor-in-chief of her high school’s newspaper, the Highlander, and is now an intern at 247 Sports.
She is the only child of Jeff and Melissa Goodman. Jeff, a senior basketball analyst, spent five years with ESPN before joining Stadium Basketball Insider in 2018. He has previously worked for both FOX Sports and CBS Sports.

Jeff Goodman has only one child, Talia Goodman. Talia is twenty years old and was born on September 10, 2003. Talia, a Pingree School alumnus, has followed in her famous father’s footsteps. Talia, like her father, has a passion for journalism and is currently studying Sports Media at Indiana University. Despite her young age, Talia has already learned a lot.
Even if her father’s name is well-known, she would not have been able to hold her career without her hard work. Talia began working at Hockey Night In New England as a marketing and social media summer intern. She worked for them for four months before joining the Canes Country staff writing group.
Talia’s father had previously alerted everyone about her love of hockey. Jeff shared a video on his X page showing Talia’s excitement after receiving a Jack Hughes jersey for her 16th birthday. Talia worked as a Production Intern for NBC Sports Boston last year. She assisted transcribe interviews and press conferences, as well as write scripts for Early Edition and Boston Sports Tonight.
Talia has been with the Hoosier Network since 2022. Talia joined the network as the Indiana WSOC and WBB Beat Reporter and has been covering the Indiana volleyball team since last year. She has also served as a sideline reporter for the Indiana University women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, and field hockey programs.
Talia interned at Peegs.com (part of 247 Sports) last year and has covered men’s and women’s basketball, as well as football for Indiana University. Talia has 5,000 Instagram followers and posts photos of her work as a reporter as well as her daily life.
Meet Melissa Goodman, Jeff Goodman’s wife
Melissa Goodman, the basketball insider’s wife, has remained out of the public glare. Melissa obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Lehigh University in 1991. She briefly worked at Linkage in 2000 before becoming the director of operations at Consumer Quality Initiatives for 13 years. Melissa left her employment in 2015.
Melissa, unlike her daughter and husband, is not very active on social media. Her spouse has occasionally uploaded photographs of her on his X site. On their anniversary in 2016, Jeff had already published a family photo.
He shared a photo with the caption, “Happy anniversary to my wife — yet my daughter (only child) is the winner tonight, getting to tag along for Hamilton!” When asked why he chose to live in Newburyport when he could have lived anywhere else, Jeff previously stated that he did not want to disrupt the lives of his wife and child too much.
