Career
Böröndi began his career as a member of Debrecen’s Csokonai Theatre. In addition, he appeared as a guest artist at Rock Theater. He began performing at the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre in 1984, and later at Comedy Stage. He performed as a freelance actor at Karinthy Theater, Budaörs Latinovits Theater, and Kalocsa Theater starting in 2002. He was the manager of Comedy Stage Theater from 2013 until his death, where he also worked as a scenic designer. He was best known for his work in theater, but in the 1980s and 1990s, he rose to national prominence as Csaba, a teacher in a supporting role on the massively famous television series Szomszédok. He’d appeared in 65 plays, directed five, and choreographed five more.
On November 23, 2020, Böröndi died of COVID-19 in a Budapest hospital in Hungary.
