Since Tanner Hoang was found dead in Austin more than a week after going missing, many are looking for case updates.
A student from Texas A&M University who had been missing for more than a week was found dead in Austin. 22-year-old Tanner Hoang was last spotted close to the school’s main campus.
According to College Station Police, Tanner Hoang, 22, was last seen on Friday at or around 11 a.m. on Colgate Drive, which runs between Highway 6 and Wolf Pen Creek Park.
Hoang’s relatives from Flower Mound, Texas, also claimed to be in town for his graduation ceremony, but they never actually met for lunch because he left so suddenly.

Tanner Hoang, 22, of Flower Mound, was reportedly found dead close to the Pennybacker Bridge on Loop 360.
Although the reason of death has not been made public, the police do not suspect foul play.
When the Texas student failed to show up for a meal before the ceremony, his family, who were in town for his graduation, started to worry.
Before shutting off his son’s phone, Tanner’s father claimed that he sent him a text at around 8:30 am and saw a sign that Tanner had seen it.
When Emily looked up his debit card activity, she discovered that he had filled up his car with gas at a Caldwell, Texas, gas station around 12:08 pm, but she didn’t know where he went after that.
The cause of the death has not been made public, but the police have no suspicion of wrongdoing.
The Texas student’s family, who were in town for his graduation, became concerned when he didn’t show up for a dinner before the ceremony.
Tanner’s father asserted that he texted his son at around 8:30 am and saw evidence that Tanner had viewed it before turning off his phone.
Case of Tanner Hoang Update
As already mentioned, it is unknown what caused Hoang’s passing.
Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley reports that Hoang’s car was also found nearby. His wallet was discovered inside the car undamaged.
On the Finding Tanner Hoang Facebook page, official search updates on leads and details about Hoang’s whereabouts and potential destination were posted. As of Saturday afternoon, the organization has amassed more than 13,300 new members.
Hoang was found dead not far from where the automobile was located, according to the nonprofit Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley (AANBV), on Loop 360 near the Pennybacker Bridge in Austin.
22-year-old Hoang vanished on Friday, December 16. His family was scheduled to meet Hoang for lunch that afternoon when they were en route to College Station for his graduation that weekend.
On the day of his disappearance, at around 12:05 pm, Hoang’s car was spotted leaving a Shell gas station in Caldwell and traveling west on Texas 21 toward Old Dime Box, Bastrop, and Austin.
Later that day, more camera footage showed Hoang’s car traveling to 1395 U.S. Highway 290 west of Elgin.
No other information regarding Hoang’s passing was provided by the College Station Police Department.
Volunteers and search teams were encouraged to head home on Saturday before Hoang’s passing was reported on social media.
