Taymor Travon McIntyre, also known as “Tay-K” or “Tay-K 47,” is an American rapper and composer. He made his debut in 2015 with the song ‘BIFF XANNEN,’ which he posted on his SoundCloud account. His song “The Race,” which he released while on the run from the cops, became a huge hit. The song reached number 44 on the ‘US Billboard Hot 100’ list. The song has also been remixed by other artists and has received over a hundred million ‘YouTube “views.”
In 2017, he released a remix of ‘The Race’ on his mixtape ‘Santana World.’ In 2018, ‘The Race’ was declared “platinum.” Despite his popularity as a rapper and composer, Tay-K has always been associated with criminal activity. He was placed under house arrest in 2016 after being charged with murder. As a rebel, he shattered his monitor and fled to Texas. He was finally apprehended in New Jersey. While he was on trial, another murder charge was made against him in 2017. He is currently being jailed on a $500,000 bail.

Tay-K was born in Long Beach, California on June 16, 2000. Kevin Beverly, his father, was a member of the Long Beach street gang ‘Baby Insane Crip Gang.’ Tay-mother K’s relocated him to Las Vegas, Nevada, while his father was in prison. Her mother was a member of the ‘Baby Insane Crip,’ as well.
His father relocated the family to Arlington, Texas, after he was released from jail, in order to give them a better environment. He has a sister as well. He went to a school called ‘Martin High School.’ In an interview, he said that his parents had not provided him with much support and that he had to rely primarily on himself.

He began rapping in his early adolescence. Tay-K turned to music as a way to escape his unusual upbringing, idolizing singers such as Soulja Boy and Chief Keef. He became a member of the rap group ‘Daytona Boyz,’ and began performing at local festivals and parties. Pimpyz and Santana Sage were the other members of the trio (Eric Johnson).
In 2014, the group published their first music, ‘Drift,’ on ‘SoundCloud.’ After failing to gain traction with a number of singles, the band resorted to performing at various events in order to reach a broader audience. Tay-K made his solo debut in 2015 with the song ‘BIFF XANNEN.’ It was made available on his ‘SoundCloud’ account. His second track, ‘Sly Cooper,’ was published in 2015 but only drew the notice of Arlington listeners. The song ‘Megaman,’ along with a few other tracks, was uploaded on his ‘SoundCloud’ account in 2016.
The song went viral, especially after he was arrested for murder. ‘The Race,’ his most popular song to date, was released while he was on the run from the police. The song earned over 100 million “views” on YouTube and debuted at number 70 on the ‘US Billboard Hot 100’ chart. It peaked at number 44 on the ‘US Hot 100’ chart. The song peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s ‘Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs’ list. It also had over four million spins on ‘SoundCloud.’ The song’s video was released two weeks before Tay-K was apprehended by authorities. His followers organized a big hashtag movement branded ‘#FREETAYK’ in order to get the rapper out of jail.
Artists such as Lil Bibby and XXXtentacion also praised the successful tune. Artists such as Tyga, Lil Yachty, and Fetty Wap remixed it multiple times. While incarcerated, he released his mixtape ‘Santana World’ in 2017. He re-released ‘Santana World,’ this time with a remix of his popular single, ‘The Race,’ starring 21 Savage and Young Nudy, at the end of 2017. ‘The Race’ was certified “platinum” by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) in early 2018. ‘Murder She Wrote,’ ‘Lemonade,’ ‘Saran Pack,’ and ‘Dat Way’ were among notable tracks from the mixtape.
The mixtape was distributed by ’88 Classic,’ an imprint of ‘RCA Records.’ His next single, ‘After You,’ was released on ‘SoundCloud’ in February 2018, a day after two of his new photos was “tweeted” on his official ‘Twitter’ account. Tay-K is thought to have made more than $500,000 during the ’88 Classic.’ He also appeared alongside ‘BlocBoy JB’ in ‘No Jumper’s song ‘Hard.’ The song charted at 14 on the ‘Bubbling Under Hot 100.’

Personal Existence
- Tay-K has always been linked to criminals and killings. He had witnessed Eric Johnson, also known as “Santana Sage,” murder 20-year-old Sara Mutschlechner.
- The accused admitted to the act and was sentenced to 44 years in prison. Tay-K was not prosecuted in the case.
- Tay-K was charged with Ethan Walker’s murder in July 2016. He and Megan Holt and Ariana Bharrat allegedly plotted to rob Walker, and Ethan was killed in the process.
- He was placed under home arrest, but escaped to San Antonio, Texas, after severing his monitor. Later, he was apprehended by the ‘US Marshal Service’ in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
- Tay-K is also accused of assaulting Skip Pepe, 65, who later identified him as the perpetrator. In 2017, he was transferred to an adult prison when it was determined that he will be tried as an adult in the case.
- He was charged with another murder in September 2017. He is currently being jailed on a $500,000 bail.
- Tay-lawyer K is certain that he will be cleared of all charges soon. Tay-K, according to reports, is not dating anyone.
