Just before arriving in the North Shore District Court on April 18, 2023, Telise Kelly died in an accident. The accident’s origin and character remain unclear. Auckland’s legal community is mourning Telise Kelly’s sudden death. Her death is a huge loss to the legal profession since she was a highly skilled litigator.

Telise Kelly’s obituary has not yet been released. She was a senior associate at Auckland CBD-based Martelli McKegg Lawyers. She was a skilled family, estate, and civil litigator. Telise Kelly’s Professional Contributions
She was an experienced Family Court and High Court litigator. Senior lawyers and judges admired her work. Telise was certified as a trusts and estates expert by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She proudly served on the ADLS Family Law Committee and was recently elected to the ADLS Council.
Telise also belonged to the Auckland Women Lawyers Association and the NZLS Family Law Section. Legalwise, ADLS, and NZLS CLE hosted her trusts, estates, and relationship property workshops for professionals.
