Terri’s exact birthdate is unknown, however, it is generally accepted that she was born in or around 1964. South Carolina’s Spartanburg is her hometown.
She is, as previously said, the daughter of army veteran Frank Dillard and his wife, Pat. Frank, Terri’s father, was a longtime member of Spartanburg’s First Baptist Church and had also held the position of Spartanburg County Councilman.

Soon later, threats of death began to reach Trey and his entire family. It began one day when two police officers were walking around the home of the ex-federal prosecutor’s wife as she was pushing their son on a swing in the backyard. It seems that they had arrived to watch after the Gowdy family in case the dad began receiving threats.
Federal marshals and police would frequently camp out for a few weeks at their house. A man was said to have repeatedly shown up at the local courthouse, stating that he needed to speak with Mr. Gowdy. When the authorities rejected him, he would claim to know Terri and Trey’s kids’ schools.
And he would go there as well. The individual was eventually taken into custody by the police.

In his 2020 book, It Hurts To Ask, former politician Trey has asked Terri Gowdy, his wife, to do two things if he passes away before she does: ensure that their children remember their father loved being a prosecutor above all other jobs, and wait until after his funeral to begin dating.
