After that, he participated in three tight end games for the Wolfpack in 2016, concluding his rookie campaign with six receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown. In that same year, 23 colleges, including Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Texas A&M, and USC, sent offers to the 4-star prospect.

He was then assigned to the LSU Fighting Tigers in 2017. But Moss had to have surgery twice because of a foot condition that kept him out of action for the 2018 campaign.

Then, in 2018, Thaddeus was selected by his father Randy Moss to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Then, on November 9, 2019, during a game against Alabama, he made a catch that changed the course of the game and was even dubbed the catch of the year.
