Adam Rich, best known as the lead actor in the 1970s television series Eight Is Enough, passed away in January at the age of 54. His cause of death has finally been made public.
The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office said that the actor regrettably passed away from the “effects of fentanyl.” The report said that he passed away on January 7 at his home and labeled the cause of death as an accident.
The reason for death was revealed months after Adam’s agent, Danny Deraney, announced on Twitter that he had passed away. “Adam has no ego at all.
Many individuals who grew up with him feel like a piece of their childhood is gone and are sad today because he was selfless and always looked out for those he cared about, Deraney said in the heartfelt post that featured a picture of the late celebrity as a young boy. He truly was the younger brother of America.
Many of Danny’s admirers shared their grief at his loss shortly after his message got public. There was a lot of love for him, from people recalling watching his program when they were younger to praising his acting skills.
The outpouring of support served as evidence of Adam’s ongoing influence, which is not altogether unexpected given the popularity of Eight Is Enough.
Adam was initially portrayed in the well-known series as Nicholas Bradford, the youngest of eight siblings, and he remained acting until the early 1990s. It debuted in 1977 and ran for five seasons, starring Dick Van Patten as well.
After his passing, some of Adam’s previous co-stars went on the record in addition to his agent and admirers. Willie Aames, who portrayed his brother in Eight Is Enough, was one of them.
“Winnie woke me up this morning with the tragic news of Adam Rich’s demise. I’m crushed. More than just a colleague, Adam was. He was really the only younger brother I had. a buddy for life,” Willie remarked on Facebook. “Adam had ambitions to restart his career during the past few years. He was one of those young performers who will live on in the memory of our time.
There are so many parents who have informed me they named their first kid Nicholas after his character in “Eight Is Enough.” Another of our own has left the brotherhood of children who were raised during the prime of family television. He will be sorely missed. Rest.”
