Julius Randle, an All-Star forward, was injured in the first half and went to the locker room. Wednesday evening, the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers meet in Ohio for Game 5 of their first-round playoff series.
At the intermission break, the Knicks hold a 61-51 lead.
Randle has 13 points, four rebounds, and six assists in 16 minutes while shooting 4 of 9 from the field.
Julius Randle had missed time due to an ankle injury prior to the start of the NBA Playoffs, but he returned for Game 1 and has played in every game of the series thus far.
In 77 regular season games, the former Kentucky star averaged 25.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 45.9% from the field.
With a 3-1 series advantage entering Wednesday’s game, the Knicks could eliminate the Cavaliers with a victory on Wednesday night.
If the Cavaliers are able to survive, Game 6 will be contested on Friday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Whoever wins the series will advance to the second round and play either the Milwaukee Bucks or Miami Heat (the Heat presently lead the series 3-1).
